The two-city logistics
Arrive in Vancouver.
Leave from Anchorage.
Vancouver arrival
Arrive at least one day early. Staying near Canada Place makes embarkation morning a walk, not a project.
Board Discovery
Canada Place is the cruise terminal.
Whittier → Anchorage
Pre-book a Princess transfer or ship-to-airport shore excursion. Princess currently advises scheduling your flight home no earlier than 10:30 AM, or 1:00 PM or later if you are planning to take a scenic rail excursion back to the airport.

Useful answers
When should I arrive in Vancouver?+
Plan to arrive at least one day before sailing. Weather and airline delays are much less dramatic from a hotel room than from an embarkation line.
How do I fly home from Whittier?+
Whittier is the cruise port; Anchorage is the practical flight gateway. Book a transfer and search airfare as a multi-city trip: into Vancouver, home from Anchorage.
Do I need to do every group activity?+
No. The White Pass Railway and birthday plans are the main shared moments. Port days otherwise belong to you.
Is Alaska formal?+
Princess usually schedules two dressier evenings. Think polished, not compulsory black tie. Daytime is practical layers, rain protection, and shoes with grip.

Come see Alaska.
Come celebrate Jeremy.
No pressure, no matching-family-vacation choreography. Just a genuinely spectacular week with people he would love to have there.
